The first category ("News sources") is defined as periodicals offering material on a daily basis,

     whereas the others are published on a less-than-daily basis.

Classifying them this way can be a judgement call since, partly due to the transition from print

      to web-based format, it can be difficult to distinguish some older “weekly” or “monthly”

      sources that now publish stories on a near-daily (or at least continuous) basis rather than,

      say, a weekly basis (for example, environmental coverage by Time and New Scientist).

While the vast majority of the periodicals listed on these pages address the challenge of climate

     change in some way, those with a core focus on climate change are highlighted.
